Don't get us wrong: Taco Bell has its strong points (though mostly caloric). But for authentic eats and frosty margaritas, those in the know go to Tortilla Heights, where the fare is fresh, the vibe is fun, and you know where your meat is coming from (Niman Ranch, to be exact).
Grab your girls and dig into a hot pot of Queso ("The Lonestar Favorite") or Nachos Grande, piled high with Monterey Jack cheese, refried beans, jalapeños, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo salsa. Pair it with a classic, mango, strawberry, or pomegranate margarita made with 100% blue agave tequila, or one of Tortilla Heights' signature drinks, like The Don -- a royal blend of Don Julio Silver Tequila, Grand Marnier, organic agave nectar, and fresh squeezed lime.
Next, fire up the fiesta with a platter of Tex-Mex Fajitas served with all the fixins': fire roasted red and pastilla peppers, sweet onions, rice, black beans, guacamole, sour cream, and flour tortillas (¡Qué bueno!). Pescado Tacos stuffed with fresh fish, shredded cabbage, cilantro, and red onions make a perfect summer dish; the Chimichangas, crafted with tender Niman Ranch Chile Beef, are a great way to fill up after a long day.
This takes Mexican to all new Heights.
