More...One part "Kill Bill" and all parts culinary brilliance, Blowfish Sushi To Die For is a unique hybrid of Japanese food and design that will leave you begging for more. Housed in a hip, innovative space inspired by modern Tokyo, this eclectic sushi bar and restaurant cooks up its own brand of Asian Fusion, and pairs it with unparalleled flair: Upbeat ambient music pulses from a state-of-the-art stereo system, and a collection of original Manga production stills and projections of Japanese animation flicker across the walls.
Settle into the luxe liquor lounge and enjoy a glass of premium sake, sweet leilani cocktail or a sake cocktail (Our fave is the Cucumber Cooler, a refreshing mix of crushed cucumber, sake, lime juice and soda that's perfect for summer; $8), then ease into the Sakizuke appetizer menu for a light start (Ritsu Rolls with maguro, bincyo, avocado, and masago are a Blowfish signature).
Follow up with a selection from the Yaki Age Entrée menu, like the Japanese-marinated Skirt Steak with jalapeño salsa ($17.00), the Punch, a filet mignon over steamed spinach, or the Halibut Crudo Enlightened Sashimi, drizzled with truffle oil and mango salsa with wasabi and American caviar ($13.00). Sushi lovers will kill for the Sushi menu, which includes everything from Tamago (Egg Cake) to Ikura (Salmon Roe), and vegetarians will love Maki selections like the Potrero Veggie Roll, filled with tempura asparagus, scallions, tofu, carrots, avocado, and inari ($9.50). Then try the Zen Garden Kyo-style green tea cheesecake served with green tea ice cream and matcha sauce ($7.75) for dessert.
Yeah. We'll Die For that.
